Show me the Romance
FLIRTING WITH LOVE:
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE ROMANCE
BLOG HOP TOUR (FEB 24-26)
Thank you for stopping and my blog hop stop.
When I tell people I write Erotic Romance most think I write pure smut, that its the same thing as Erotica. And for me nothing could be farther then the truth. Erotica is a story based solely for the purpose of SEX. Nothing wrong with that. But that isn't what I write. Well that isn't all I write :)
For me I write stories with a strong Romantic Elements. Stories that involve sex...yes. But that if you removed the sex from the book you would still have a love story at the heart of it. To me you should be able to by pass the sex scenes if you want too (though why would you want too TEE HEE) and still have a deep meaningful relationship in the book. That to me is what Erotic Romance is about. It's spicer Romance.
Because like food we all like our romance at different heats. Some like is sweet with the sugar on top, some like its spiced up with hot peppers. And sometimes we like to mix it up.
*****Okay now contest time. *****

Tony Sherman may be a modern day Adonis and a well-known ladies' man, but hiding beneath his carefree, playboy persona is a man who knows how to be discreet. He keeps his desire to protect all those he loves from being seen by anyone, particularly his family. Fate intervenes when he uses his charm to beg a favor from a co-worker, a women as unaffected by his charisma as she is by his looks.
Haven Pelletier is anything but the kind of woman usually found on Tony's arm or in his bed. She's mousy and rubenesque, unmoved by his Adonis appearance. But when circumstances bring them together, she sees right through his tarnished armor—to the true man underneath.
As Haven learns more about Tony, she discovers a man who might just steal her heart if she lets him. Can Tony be the knight in shining armor Haven needs? Or will the secrets in his past keep them both from finding happiness?

Thanks for participating in the hop! I love your books. I would pick Unwanted Mate. Heat level... well I like it hot, but if it's a good story I love those too :)

I like it hot, and I like it sweet, and I like it right in the middle. As long as the author is writing at her comfort level, then I'm comfortable with whatever heat level the story calls for. If it's romance, I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in this fun blog hop!! I enjoy all heat levels! angadiar@nwcable.net
ReplyDeleteI like all heat levels as long as the story line is good. It's hard to decide which book I want to win. It's between Hunting JC and Shifting Hearts. Thanks for the giveaway!

Honestly, my heat level depends on my mood (and what I'm reading). LOL! My husband loves when I read steamy books. ;) If I win, I would like to have Shifting Hearts please. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThey all look great so you pick. My heat level also depends on my mood, right now I'm reading a steamy one, but just finished a feel good contemporary. As long as it's a good story I'll read it.

Some thoughts on the subject... The question of romance novels (for women) vs. porn (for men) came up on the Smart Bitches Trashy Books blog a few months back. A woman's boyfriend was getting rid of his porn and suggested she get rid of her romance novel collection, as well--you can imagine the flurry of outrage and the direction of the comments as to who should be gotten rid of! Anyway, the point you make, Dom, was the main (non-raging) point made in the blog. I discussed it with my husband and mulled it over since I read a lot of romances, usually of the steamier variety (my husband approves :>)). A thought that came to me, prompted by further mulling provoked by your blog: Even erotica is different from porn in 1) there's still a real plot, even if it doesn't end in HEA and 2) Unless it's fetish, D/s, BDSM material, men are not degraded or humiliated in order to titillate women readers. The same can't be said for even mainstream porn (at least the little I've seen over the years). And from what I've heard, the trend is getting worse, not better. May I suggest that we fight back by buying more romances of all heat varieties?
ReplyDelete--Make Mine Spicy :>)
I just ordered Shifting Hearts. I can't wait to read it!! Thanks.
