Come Meet Syndie Wilder from Forever Love: by Melissa Keir
Thank you Syndie
Wilder for coming to chat with us today. Why do you think Melissa Keir choose
you to represent her?
Melissa’s a nice person but she’s artistic like me which my
sisters would say is flighty. Maybe she just couldn’t get away. Hopefully she
is busy working!
Tell us a little
about yourself?
Thanks for asking. I’m a jewelry designer recently from
Chicago. My jewelry business recently became relocated back to Ohio so I could
take care of my ailing father. He’s had health issues and since I’m the oldest
of his daughters, it was only fair, right? Well, honestly I had the job that
would allow me to return to Amherst and look after my dad.
What is your birth
date?
Wow, nosy much? You know that a girl doesn’t like to share
her age. I’m a Taurus though.
Where do you live?
I currently live with my dad in Amherst. I know it’s
depressing moving back into the same home you’ve grown up in. I even sleep in
the same room. But with dad’s forgetfulness, I can’t let him live alone. What kind
of daughter would I be?
What do you wish
people would know about you?
I would love for people to know that I’m a good daughter, no
matter what my sisters say. After high school, I only wanted to get out of
Amherst. The town felt so small. and with no boyfriend, I set my sights on the
big city. When my mom died, it kind of became my job to take care of things.
Dad called me a lot in Chicago, even to tell me who he saw at the VFW hall or
what he had for dinner. My sisters and I talked about what needed to be done
and I stepped up. Now I’m back in old hometown.
Where have we seen
you before?
You might have seen me in the Lifestyle section of USA
Today. The newspaper did a big spread last year on up and coming designers. My
jewelry has been worn by actresses and Chicago personalities.
What is your perfect
evening?
My perfect evening is a beautiful summer night spent at Lake
Erie, enjoying the sunset with TJ along with some yummy local fried fish. My
dad has this special recipe for his perch batter. Just talking about it is
making me hungry. But I love the breeze at night on the beach. The waves are
soothing and the seagulls add to the melody of the perfect night.
Growing up in Amherst, Lakeview Beach was the big hangout.
We’d go there and spend the nights listening to our radios blasting and dancing
in the parking lot. More than one person was caught fogging up the windows in
the parking lot.
Is there anything you
wish Melissa had kept their mouth shut about?
She didn’t need to tell everyone that I didn’t put out in
high school and was dumped. It makes me sound like a goody two shoes. I wasn’t
one. My mom liked to say that if I did anything I shouldn’t have, I was the one
who got caught. But that is life in a small town. Everyone tells your parents
what you’re doing.
Tell us about T.J.
what drew you to him/her?
T.J. was my best friend all through school. We grew up
together. My mom had this photo of the two of us in the sandbox playing. We
risked it all when we dated the first time. He broke up with me. However, when
I came back to Amherst I had to face him again. His quiet strength and
dedication to this town and to his family are wonderful qualities. I love his
physical characteristics. He’s a hunk and a hottie. He could have graced many
hot firemen calendars but he is so much more than just a sexy body. He makes me
laugh and feel comfortable. Around him, I want to be a better person. He makes
me be that better person. You don’t need me to tell you all that. You can read
about him and our love story in Forever Love. At least Melissa got him written
right!
What’s your favorite
sports team?
My favorite sports team is the Cleveland Browns. I know they
haven’t had a decent season in years. But at least they aren’t as bad as the
Detroit Lions! haha!
What is your biggest
fear?
My biggest fear is that my dad will die too. I can’t lose
him. He’s always been my hero. He was the guy that chased us around the house,
giving us belly kisses when we were little. I learned to dance by standing on
his feet. His death would leave a hole in my life and soul.
*** Best Bar-B-Que***
Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Kansas
This is a big family issue. I’m a Kansas Bar-B-Que fan but
my sister lived in North Carolina and hates that we have no decent Carolina
Bar-B-Que places around town. She complains all the time. You can read her
story-Beach Desires.
Thanks for letting me stop by today. I’ll be sure to tell
Melissa that you all were real nice. If you are ever in Amherst, stop by for a
beer and some fish! Dad loves the company.
Forever Love:
Fifteen years ago, Syndie Wilder left her small hometown-
Amherst, Ohio- to escape the pain of losing her best friend and boyfriend.
Deciding that Chicago offered more for an up and coming jewelry designer, she
enjoyed the big city life until she chooses to return and care for her father.
Taking care of her father and relocating her internet business, Syndie has no
time or desire for romance but fate has a way of playing with best-laid plans.
Thom Johnson broke Syndie’s heart all those years ago and
regrets it every day. As a firefighter, Thom sets out to protect Amherst and
redeem himself for his bad choices. However, he never has forgotten Syndie and
the hurt he caused her.
When a chance meeting happens, can the two former friends
allow themselves the chance to become friends again, or will the sparks turn a
childhood friendship into a forever love?

Thanks for letting Syndie over to chat! She doesn't get out much these days with her dad's illness. :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems that everybody is into this kind of stuff lately. Don’t really understand it though but thanks for trying to explain it.
