When I tell people I write Erotic Romance most think I right pure smut, that its the same thing as Erotica. And for me nothing could be farther then the truth. Erotica is a story based solely for the purpose of SEX. Nothing wrong with that. But that isn't what I write. Well that isn't all I write :)

For me I write stories with a strong Romantic Elements. Stories that involve sex...yes. But that if you removed the sex from the book you would still have a love story at the heart of it. To me you should be able to by pass the sex scenes if you want too (though why would you want too TEE HEE) and still have a deep meaningful relationship in the book. That to me is what Erotic Romance is about. It's spicer Romance.

Because like food we all like our romance at different heats. Some like is sweet with the sugar on top, some like its spiced up with hot peppers. And sometimes we like to mix it up.

My Muse Is On Strike by Clarissa Yip

Sometimes life throws curveballs.

I’m sure you’ve heard that phrase many times. I guess that’s the mood I’m in at the moment. I’m sitting here, getting ready to write my next big bestseller but no words come to mind. My brain is blank. My muse is on strike and my creativity feels stifled.

Every writer goes through such stage. Is it writer’s block? Your muse being difficult? Overwhelmed by life in general?

It could be all of these things. I thought maybe I could just sit and watch some TV or get some other work done like answer emails and do some promotional work, but what if no ideas come to mind? Wait, what if I never write another word because my well has dried up?

Stop thinking so negative!

I’m determined to get through this. I’m a writer. An author. I tell stories. I inhale coffee and tickle my muse when the time calls for it…like now. But is she still not cooperating? Are you still feeling lost?

Get out of your funk!

Seriously, just start writing crap. Every story starts as such because after revisions and edits, you’ll end up changing the whole book anyway. How do I do it?

I mope. Lol. I know, not something you want to hear, but I will sit here and mope and brood until my brain starts to function and force life into my muse. I’ll sit here and write until I get a certain amount done, not caring that most likely I’ll have to delete the majority of it, but it’s a start.

I’ll meditate, listen to music, do random things like walk up and down the stairs, stare out the window…just force my creativity to breathe. Okay, sometimes I take 3-4 showers a day because I tend to think better in the shower, but it’s different for everyone.

So, tell me. How do you get your muse to start running?

Ryder nudged Evan in the arm. “Yo.”

Evan turned to where Ryder pointed. His breath hitched at the sight before him. No more than twenty feet away, his princess stood with her back turned. Her shimmery white gown hugged her loving curves like a glove. The chandelier above formed a golden hue around her lush figure. Her smooth, milky skin glowed in the light, and his mouth watered as his gaze trailed from the bottom up to her slim hips to the bare expanse of her back. He took in the thick blonde curls on top of her head and the sparkle of her crown. Definitely his princess.

Heat rushed through him. Desire struck, blood pooled in his groin.

“You lucky bastard. My date better be as hot as her.”

He barely heard Ryder. All thoughts flew out of his mind. He couldn’t draw his attention from the woman. His feet involuntarily moved forward. His pulse sped as he got closer. When he stood right behind her, he studied her closely. She looked out into the crowd as if searching for someone. He noted the smoothness of her skin, the delicate curve of her earlobe, the gracefulness of her neck. His fingers itched to touch her. He smelled peaches and drew in a deeper breath, her perfume permeating his senses. An alarm sounded in his head. Something familiar about her, but he couldn’t pin it down. He didn’t care. One thing was for sure: he wanted her.

“Princess.”

His date whipped around. Her mouth fell open and her violet eyes widened in shock.

Recognition struck like a fist pummeling his chest.

“Sarah?” His voice actually squeaked.

“This must be a mistake.” He went over to the chair he’d occupied earlier and pulled his phone out of his coat pocket. “I’ll email Madame Eve and get this straightened out. Worse comes to worst, you can go request a different room.”

An outraged gasp sounded behind him. “Why do I have to be the one to leave?”

He whirled around and gave her what he hoped was a convincing bewildered look. “Unless…you’re my date?”

She paused. “Hell no.”

Welcome to my stop and thank you so much for hopping.

I am Dominique Eastwick and I write Romance with Spice. My stories are always about the romance in the end everything else is just as they say icing on the cake :)

The books I love from Musa are Downsizing W. Soliman and Dudleytown LB Gregg.

Downsizing is one of those books that when I first read the blurb I wanted to read it. Once I started I couldn't put it Down I was completely pulled into the world of Max and Noah. Max was once the overweight bright girl no one noticed and Noah was the town stud. But they both saw the best in each other until one mistake on Noah's part alters their lives forever.

I love second chance stories any way and this one is one that had me crying. Any book that brings an emotionally response where I cry and Cheer out loud is one I keep to read again. This is true Women's Literature with a romantic theme to it. Big Ole Thumbs up :) Buy a copy Click here

The Second Book I love is Dudleytown by LB Gregg she is a true story teller like very fer I have ever read. She draws you and and makes you see the side of the characters you rarely see. She writes in first person which in most other authors I can't stand but with her I can't imagine her stories being any other way. Dudleytown is a little darker then the others by her I have read but still a great read and very suspenseful. If you are looking for a good M/M read that is about the romance not the sex YOU MUST CHECK OUT HER Books. Did I mention Must.

I am not flattered you are downloading my stolen books for free. I do not get a great big advance and I count every penny my book sales give me. You would not steal a paperback off the shelf so why do you think it's okay to steal my pdf.

Rekkus paced in the shallow water. He ran his hand through his hair in a show of frustration. Just as her nerves didn’t think they could take anymore, he said, “Why are you here?”

“Myron told me to come here.”

He stopped pacing glared in the direction of where Myron would be then began to pace again. “Damn her. I spent all day avoiding you and she sends you right to me. You need to leave now.”

“Why?”

“It’s not safe for you here with me. I left you alone last night; if you stay I am not sure I can honor that request a second time.”

“I felt it too,” she blurted out, unable to keep it to herself any longer.

He moved so fast she never saw him actually take a step. All of a sudden she was wrapped in his wet arms, her breast pressed against his chest, making her now damp shirt cling to her body. His eyes searched hers. He must have seen what he was looking for, the desire she felt. Before she could form another thought, his lips were on hers in a feverous need. Demanding she open for him, and no part of her thought for a second to deny him anything. Butterflies churned in her stomach making her shake. She had never felt this; this fire that threatened to engulf her.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, running her fingers through his wet hair and deepened the kiss. His moan was all she needed to gather the nerve and strength to push him forward. She knew what he wanted. Knew what he most desired, because she wanted it to. She wanted him, all of him, every naked inch, right here, next to this lake not a ten minute walk from the Haus. Anyone could stumble across them and she didn’t care. It almost added to the allure of everything. What she needed it to be.

Something more than she ever knew she needed. He was pushing her past her comfort zone forcing her to accept there was a sexy seductress screaming to be let out.

Wow what a crazy year this has been for me but I am so thrilled to have the year capped with the launch of my shared world series at Musa Publishing. Shared world mean I get to share my world and story with other authors and let them bring their ideas to the world as well. So what would the residense of the Wiccan Haus serve at this time of year, I am betting something close to this...

Spiked Spiced Cider

5 cups apple cider
1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick
1 whole clove
1 or more (1/2-inch-thick) orange slice
1 (1/2-inch-thick) lemon slice
1/2 cup brandy
6 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks (optional)

Combine cider, cinnamon stick, clove, orange slice, and lemon slice in a in a crock pot or pot. Heat, and simmer. (I like to add Orange Slices for look and taste.) Stir in brandy. Serve warm. Garnish each serving with 1 cinnamon stick, if desired.

Not only does this taste great but it makes the whole house smell wonderful. Perfect for that holiday get together and you can always have a second pot brewing for those who don't want the alcohol.

No Matter what you are celebrating this Holiday season remember to offer compassion and understanding to everyone and I wish everyone a happy, healthy and blessed holiday season.

Lynda: “Welcome Ms. Kingsley. I've asked you here to go over a few items in your application for the Academy. I’ve reviewed your paperwork and would like you to tell me about the incidents that caused your father’s retirement 10 years ago.”

Mercy;   Mercy swallowed hard and rubbed her sweaty palms together. "It was a botched kidnapping that ended my father’s career."  They just don’t need to know what else ended that night.

Lynda; “Could I have details please, I need it for the application. You failed to give information that we will need for the review board.”

Mercy: “My parents are partners in a software firm. There were threats made to the company and I was kidnapped because of them. My Father, and his partner Ron Daily, found out where I was. My Dad did not follow protocol and he came in without back-up. But because he did, I was saved. His career died that night and so did my dream to be an agent. I could not apply for the Academy as long as my dad struggled to get his life back. But, as you have read, it’s been 10 years and I realized that being an agent was the only think I wanted to do. So I pursued the internship and applied to the Academy.” Mercy’s heart was racing, stay in control, this will be over soon.

Lynda: “Are your parents fine with the decision? You know your father will be interviewed, and I know him. His opinion will be taken into account.”

Mercy: “I know how this will affect my parents but they will back my decision. I didn’t want to tell them until I had my acceptance letter.” Mercy swallowed past the lump of fear that swelled in her throat. I don’t want to tell them until I’m in the Academy. Ron said they weren’t going to talk to my dad. What changed?

Lynda: "I see that you had counseling after the kidnapping and treatment for anxiety. You also suffer from claustrophobia. Those are issues that need to be resolved before the board review. It will affect your ability to be an agent.”

Mercy: Mercy clenched her fists so tight her nails dug into the palms of her hands. How did they find out? Ron said no one would know, and I would have time to figure a way around it. What else can go wrong? “My counseling was complete and I was released. I attached my past medical records in my application. My issue with claustrophobia is in the past. That should also be stated in my medical papers.”

Lynda: “It is. I just wanted to hear you say it, and make me believe it. During the Academy you will be working closely with Ron Daily and his team. Will that be a problem for you? I see you have a close relationship with them, and a personal one with Jason Michaels. Have you read the rules Mercy? We have guidelines, and if this is an issue I want to know now.”

Mercy; Mercy’s chest tightened and her hands shook under the table. Her throat burned as she struggeled to catch her breath. She had to stop the panic attack before it ruined everything. It will kill her application quicker than that kiss. The memory still warmed her lips but she knew the rules, and the pain she saw in his eyes as she walked away will always haunt her. “It will not be an issue. Agent Daily and his team have helped me during my internship, and that’s all. We have a close working relationship only. Mr. Michaels and I do not have any kind of relationship, nor do we plan on having one. We both are aware of the rules and what is at stake if any are broken.”

Lynda: “Ok as long as you are aware that they will also be interview”

Mercy: Mercy took a deep breath as the phone rang.

Lynda: “I need to take this. I believe I have everything I need. I will contact you when the board reviews your application. Make sure you discuss this with your family. We will be contacting them soon”

Mercy quickly left room as her heart pounded in her ears. She had to find her parents and talk to them, but she had to see Jason first, if he’ll see her. Mercy swallowed past the fear in her throat. She has told so many lies to hide the truth, and hid a few secrets she’s not ready for anyone to know, and it’s all closing in on her fast.

Meet the Owners of the Wiccan Haus Spa and Resort

The Wiccan Haus series revolves around the Rowan Siblings. 2 Sisters and 2 Brothers who run a healing spa for Paras (what those working at The Wiccan Haus refer to the Paranormals as) and Humans (who many have no idea that Paras really exist)

The Sisters

Sarka Rowan is the Alchemist - Though her arts are more directed at the paranormal in need of potions for one reason or another, she has been known to assist the rare human. She absolutely won't create a love potion or bring someone back from the dead. Neither ever works out well. She is dark and her style is very Goth. Though not a vampire, she has been mistaken for one on more than one occasion. This pisses her off because she hates vampires with a passion, especially after having a bad relationship with one. Sexuality: unknown but believed to be bi-sexual

Sage Rowan is the Herbalist - her gift is the ability to know just what herbs she needs to add to the client’s shakes, foods, candles and soaps to help with their need to heal. She is sunny and always cheery. Her style is very bohemian-meets-flower child. Sexuality: straight

The Brothers

Cyrus Rowan is the Retrocog - when he touches an item, he is able to see the past of the current owner. Very handy when they find an item and do not know who it belongs to. He is uncomfortable with his gift and uses it very rarely. He wears gloves so as not overwhelmed with information from items he touches. He is broad in stature and acts more as the bouncer and peace keeper than an active member of the healing troupe. His wardrobe consists of black jeans, black combat boots, black T-shirts and black glasses. Sexuality: straight

Cemil Rowan is the Empath - Though he can sense a person’s feeling from a great distance, even through the phone while taking reservations, his true powers come when he can physically hold the hands of the person he is trying to heal. Cemil is more whimsical than the others. His style is bright and fun. But don’t let the whimsy fool you: this man can take down the largest of werewolves—um, wolves if the need arises. Sexuality: gay

Though these characters wont have there own story at least anytime soon they will help to weave the stories that different authors write together.

Grayson: *nods* He needs a good woman who’ll love that chip off his shoulder. Do you know who she is yet.

MK: Of course. You know her, too.

Grayson: Really?

MK: *holds up hand* Before you ask; no, I won’t tell you who she is.

Grayson: Damn.

MK: Let’s talk about Jane.

Grayson: My favorite subject.

MK: How are things going between you two?

Grayson: *shakes his head and grins like a fool* She’s good. She’s great. We’re great. Did you know we’re getting married?

MK: I did hear that somewhere.

Grayson: *laughs* Yeah, I’m sure you did.

MK: How’s the long distance thing working?

Grayson: *frowns* It sucks. Last year was brutal. But I don’t have to report for spring training until February so we’re spending every possible second together ‘til then. After that … I don’t want to think about it.

MK: Tell me about the first time you saw Jane after fifteen years.

Grayson: Seeing her was like a two-by-four to the chest. She looked amazing, better than I’d imagined. I didn’t expect her to be standing in the locker room.

MK: She is a sportscaster.

Grayson: Yeah. I know, and I expected she’d be shoving a microphone in my face at some point, but I didn’t expect her to show up when she did. I really threw me for a loop.

MK: You were kind of a jerk to her.

Grayson: *laughs* Kind of? I was a complete and total ass! The stricken look on her face nearly killed me. I wanted to scoop her up in my arms and never let her go. I’m surprised she didn’t slap me silly.

MK: What does the future hold?

Grayson: I don’t know beyond the wedding. I travel a lot. Her job keeps her in Salt Lake. We’re taking things one day at a time. She loves me, that’s all that matters to me. And she’s amazing.

MK: What about kids?

Grayson: *big cheesy grin* Yes.

MK: Is that an announcement?

Grayson: *raises brow* You tell me.

MK: *laughs* Touche. Okay, this question is for Liza; Do you have any available friends she could date?

Grayson: *shrugs* A lot of the guys are still single. Would I set them up with someone as sweet as Liza? Probably not. But, if you’re to be believed, and Xavier can be tamed, then anything’s possible. Give me her number, I’ll see what I can do.

Jane sticks her head in.

Jane: Oh, hey, Morgan. I’m sorry to bug you guys, but I need to steal him away. We’re going to be late for the appointment to pick out Save-The-Date cards.

Grayson: Thanks, babe. We’re almost done.

Jane leaves.

MK: Last question. What’s Santa bringing Jane?

Grayson: *grins* I know it’s cheesy, but I got her diamond earrings.

MK: Not cheesy at all. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

Interview with Kinnik Watkins, the female antagonist in HOT FUN IN THE SUMMERTIME

I have been invited to Beach Haven, New Jersey to the house where Kinnik Watkins and her friends are spending the summer. To give us some privacy, we cross the beach and sit in the gazebo about 100 feet from the house. All the tall, voluptuous bronze goddess is wearing is a microscopic bikini and a pair of oversized sunglasses.

Me: (I stand and introduce myself.) Before we get started, can you tell me the correct way to pronounce your name?

Kinnik: (with a coquettish smile I find a bit strange.) It’s Kinnik. It rhymes with unique.

Me: You’re my second interview. As I explained to Shontae, I write for a magazine that wants to do a story about real singles living at the Jersey shore, considering how the TV show has become such a big hit.

Kinnik: (She slides her shades to the end of her nose and glances at me with soft, light brown eyes.) Something’s always on and popping on that show. I love it.

Me: (I sit on the chaise next to where she is reclining.) Thanks for agreeing to talk with me.

Kinnik: (flashes a captivating smile and runs her manicured fingers through the long strawberry blonde hair that complements her café au lait complexion) Sure, why not? You’ll probably need me to straighten out whatever Shontae told you anyway.

Me: I’m going to ask everyone the same questions, and I’ll be taping this, if you don’t mind.

Kinnik: (She crosses legs that make me want to hurry and call the nearest plastic surgeon for an emergency liposuction appointment.) No problem. I’m used to being recorded.

Me: I understand this is your third year together, so you must know your housemates pretty well. Can you tell me a little bit about each of them?

Kinnik: I guess this is the best they can do when it comes to vacations, considering none of them are really big money. I’m only here because my sister begged me to come. Personally, I think she has something up her sleeve.

Me: (checking my notes) Linda’s your sister. Is she older or younger?”

Kinnik: (rolls her eyes) Older, and she always has to make it a point to remind me. “She says she wants to talk to me about my career. Since she paid my rent for the summer, I couldn’t very well refuse. Linda doesn’t like me dancing, but I am not a nine-to-five person. She forgets that I make more than she does in a year, and I have two kids to take care of.”

Me and Jo have been friends for years. She’s for real people, the only one in this house that doesn’t judge every more I make. Jo is my makeup artist and hair stylist and she’s got mad skills. She’s just here to chill and see if her old man is going to pop the question.”

Me: Tell me about the men.

Kinnik: (Flips her hair over one shoulder) “Kip is my boy. We spent some time together during our first summer in Beach Haven, but that’s ancient history. Kip’s here to see how much coochie he can conquer in eight weeks. Doc, well there isn’t much I can say about him. When he doesn’t have his nose stuck in a book, he’s sniffing after my sister. Linda is the only reason he’s here, but he’s wasting his time, if you ask me. Kip and Devon provide the testosterone. They’re both so fine; you can hear the panties dropping when they walk into a room.

Me: You forgot Shontae.

Kinnik: (with another eye roll) No, I didn’t. She’s just not worth mentioning.

Me: Why is that?

Kinnik: “Because she’s easily forgettable.”

Me: “That’s funny. Shontae seemed very pleasant.”

Kinnik: (stiffens and haughtily raises her chin) “That’s because you don’t know her. That bitch is boring as hell and thinks she’s better than everybody else. I can’t understand why. All she does is stay closed up in the sunroom banging on her laptop. She lives in her little fantasy world cooking up stories in her head. Shontae wouldn’t know how to deal with a real man if her life depended on it. She thinks she’s better than everyone else. I can’t stand her cheap dressing, snobby ass.

Me: Do you think each of your housemates has a motive for being here this summer?

Kinnik: They sure as hell do. Doc is chasing Linda. Jo says she’s researching her new stylist business, but she’s really waiting for Walter to ask her to marry his dusty old ass. She’s been waiting for five years. Devon is rehearsing for the lead role in the new movie Denzel’s directing, and he needs to study the script.

Me: (smiling at the way she’s avoided telling me about herself.) “So what about you, Kinnik? Why are you here?”

Kinnik: I’m just breezin’ in and out when I’m not in the Hamptons with Q. I’d much rather be there.”

Me: That’s Q.E., Quentin Edwards, the rapper?

Kinnik: (a proud smile lights her beautiful face) That’s right. I’ve been staying with him for the past couple of months, but Linda insisted I spend some time with her.

Me: Isn’t Q.E. the one who was recently assaulted his personal assistant?

Kinnik: (puckers her lips then sucks her teeth) That’s never going to court. The heifer is still working for him, so she can’t be too upset about him clocking her in the head and pushing her into the pool. (Her face spreads into a proud smile.) “Yeah. This place is okay, but his estate is off the chain. It’s all about luxury. The food is better, and I don’t have to do any housework when I’m there. His chef and butler wait on me hand and foot.”

Me: “So are you two a couple.”

Kinnik: (her eyes becoming flat and unreadable as stone before she picks up her sunglasses and puts them back on.) “When we’re together, we’re a couple.”

Me: (the thread of warning in her voice lets me know it’s time to end the interview.) “Kinnik, it’s been a pleasure. As I mentioned to Shontae, maybe I’ll be back at the end of August to hear what actually happened during your vacation.”

Kinnik: (rising to her impressive full height. Adjusts her bikini to make sure it’s covering everything important.) Yeah, check in and see who’s left standing.

Interview with a Vampire.

I suppose I should tell you a little about me. My name’s Jennifer T. Alli, feel free to call me Jen J. I write paranormal romance novels and am getting quite prolific. Not anywhere near as many as Kresley Cole or Gena Showalter who I adore, but still…I have 5 books under my belt and a sixth on the way. I realised the other day that I’ve written over half a million words and I think anyone would agree that’s a lot. I’ve been writing for quite some time, initially I kept my writing private but then I discovered the internet and made everything public. The internet is awesome and I met some lovely people by posting my work online but after 3 separate cases of plagiarism I decided to start self publishing and so here I am.

I think that’s probably quite enough from me we’re here to have an interview with a vampire not listen to my ramblings. If you’ve not read anything in my Elemental Passions series then I suppose I should introduce you to Lucian. I still don’t know whether I’d be intimidated or enticed if I met him in a dark alley late at night. Dark hair, even darker eyes, tall and wide with a no nonsense mouth that only a certain someone has ever managed to make smile. If I’m honest he has a bit of an attitude problem so bear with us I’ve had to coerce him into this interview but here goes.

JTA: “Evening Lucian, how are you tonight?”

Lucian: “Busy. Just ask your questions so I can be on my way.”

JTA: *mumbles to herself* “Rude much?”

Lucian: “I’m a vampire, I can hear you.”

JTA: “Fine, tell us a little about yourself.”

Lucian: “Are you serious? If that’s the sort of question you’re going to ask then I’m leaving.”

Sara: “Lucian, you agreed to do this remember? If you don’t want me to wear my sword crafting clothes you’re going to do this. Ask your questions Jen.”
JTA: “Okay, so we’ll try that again. Tell us a little about yourself.”
Lucian: “If you haven’t already guessed I’m a busy man. Wars don’t win themselves.
JTA: “War? Do tell.”
Lucian: *Sighs* “I’m not going to be able to get out of doing this am I?”
Sara and JTA: “No.”
Lucian: “Fine. I’ll tell you about myself. I’m a vampire. The oldest of my kind and I’ve spent hundreds of years at war.”
JTA: “Why?”
Lucian: “Because I got sick of people trying to take my head when I was asleep. My people needed a leader otherwise we were going to get ourselves all killed by silly humans like you. For the sake of pride if nothing else. We don’t need to kill as we feed. William didn’t quite understand that but don’t worry, I fixed that problem easily enough.”
JTA: “You’ve made me want to know more. Spill it! Tell us what happens to you in your story.”
Lucian: *groans* “This is going to take much longer than I was told it would…If you must know I was trying to win a war when this woman shows up and ruins everything…Well at the time I thought she was going to ruin everything. I know better now. But it still stands that she was a distraction. One that literally came into my life and turned everything upside down. I wanted to bite her so badly…She was a walking, talking temptation especially in those ridiculous clothes she uses to craft her swords.
JTA: “You’re a vampire, you’re meant to bite people and you said it yourself you don’t need to kill as you feed. I’m not seeing the problem. If you wanted to bite her you should have just done it.”
Lucian: “You sound just like Sara. It was complicated.”
JTA: “Complicated? That means interesting. Spill the beans.”
Lucian: “I’m not telling you anything. Why would I want to publicise my one and only weakness?”
JTA: “Good point, good point…But we do find out what it is if we read the book right?”
Lucian: “Sadly I can’t kill everyone who knows the secret all I can do is keep it contained.”
JTA: “Fine, next question. Tell us about your relationship with Sara.”
Lucian: *A small smile touches his lips.*
JTA: *mumbles to herself* “A smile like that should be illegal, it’s a lethal weapon. Yup, I’ve decided if I met him in a dark alley I’d definitely be enticed…”
Lucian: “My relationship with Sara is complicated. The relationship between a vampire and his bride always is.”
JTA: “Details!”
Lucian: “I didn’t want her. The first time I saw her, smelt her blood I knew she was the one but I left her…unconscious on the street.”
JTA: “You did what? You really left her passed out alone on a street? Anything could of happened to her!”
Lucian: “But it didn’t. I assigned someone to watch her but I knew without even speaking to her that she was going to be trouble. She was on fire and calling out for help. What normal person does that?”
Sara: “I was cursed at the time.”
Lucian: “You’re not really saying anything that contradicts my point. In fact, that’s another point. I was trying to win a war and this woman, who I didn’t even want anywhere near me forces her way into my life and says that I’m the cure to her curse. If that isn’t a distraction then you tell me what is.”
JTA: “So you don’t want her then?”

Lucian: “………If you ever make such a suggestion again I’ll cut your tongue out so that you can’t ever ask such a ridiculous question again. She’s mine.”

JTA: *mumbles to herself* “Changed my mind, I’d be terrified if I met you in a dark alley. I don’t think I’m ever leaving my house at night again.”
JTA: “Fine, so you want her. That’s fine, keep her. If you had to describe Sara in one word then what would it be?”
Lucian: “I’ll describe her in three.”
JTA: “But I said one…” *Remembers the flash of red in his eyes* “Fine, have three.”
Lucian: “In a nutshell Sara is brave, fierce and a menace to my sanity.”
JTA: “That was more than three…but moving on. Sara, I know we’re technically not interviewing you but could you describe Lucian in a word?”
Sara: “Determined.”
JTA: “Well I was going to go for rude but to each her own…”
Lucian: “Are we done yet? Some of us have better things to do.”
JTA: “Fine, you can go I just have one last question for Sara.”
Lucian: “I told you she was a menace to my sanity. I can’t leave her anywhere by herself. She’s a magnet for trouble. Just ask your question and we’ll both leave.”

JTA: “Fine. Sara, can you tell us a little about the Elemental Passions series as a whole?”

Sara: “Well the Elemental Passions series is about four people who have each been cursed. Each curse is different and we’ve got to try and figure out a way to break it. Lucian was the cure for my curse but I needed the one to cool my flame and who better than a vampire? If he’s not touching me he can be freezing at times. Is that everything?”

JTA: “Just one last thing I promise. What was your curse?”

Sara: *Smiles as she gets to her feet* “If I hadn’t met Lucian I would have died. If you want to find out more about my curse and my three siblings of the soul then the information is out there somewhere right?”

JTA: “Yeah, it’s on my blog.”

Sara: “Perfect.”

Lucian: “Can we go now?”

JTA: “Yes, go.” *Waits until they’re both gone* “I think I’d rather be dead than tied to that man for all eternity…to each her own I suppose.

Adora: So, Mac, hunky guy, how are you today?

Mac: A little annoyed, Adora. Danny Maine said he got his name in the title of his book by sleeping with Jean. Well I've been sleeping with Jean for a much longer time and I don't have my name on a book though she said she would!

Adora: Really, Mac. Grow up. Jean is telling you what you want to hear, just to get at your hot body. And it is hot, I'll admit that!

Mac: *blushes* Thanks, Adora. She has actually said I'm her favorite hero. Oh, don't tell Callie about Jean and me. I haven't slept with Jean since I started sleeping with Callie. Don't want to get them confused, Jean might write Callie out of the next book and I'd be a horny and frustrated guy. Not to say I don't love Callie...

Adora: Yeah, yeah Mac. We get it. You love Callie's body, be honest here.
Mac: Callie is more than a body to me, Adora, you know that. Why are you trying to cause trouble between us?
Adora: Okay, okay, Mac. No harm meant *Adora holds up her hands*. Geez. Sensitive aren't we? So tell me, what is your favorite position with Callie?

Mac: Any position. I love making love to her anyway I can. And you can print that...wait...is Jean going to read this? *Mac starts to sweat.*
Adora: She better read this or I'm quitting!
Mac: Then maybe you should take back what I just said.
Adora: *wearing an evil grin*, Too late, Mac. It's already in print.
Mac: Oh, crap!

Adora: So how many times a week do you and Callie make love *Adora picks up pen, poised over paper*
Mac: What? I'm not going to answer that. Jean said you'd try something like this. She said to stick to the plot of the book. Ask me about the drug gang...or how I felt about Callie doing things without telling me...
Adora: Doing what things? Is Callie sleeping with someone else?

Mac: She is? Where is he? No, no, that's ridiculous. Callie would never...
Adora: Is she sleeping with Danny, the hero of Now and Forever 2?
Mac: She'd never do that! Eliza would kill her. I would kill her, then we'd both kill Danny. *Mac comes halfway out of his chair*

Adora: Had you going there, didn't I?
Mac: Danny said you were a real ball buster and I didn't believe him. Maybe I should ask you who you’re sleeping with…there’s a rumor you made a play for Danny but he turned you down.

Adora: *blushes* That's all we have time for today *gestures neck cutting with her hand to cameraman.*
Mac: You don't get off that easy. I want to talk about the book.

So one of the best parts about Thanksgiving in our house is the fact that my husband is a Virgina Tech Hokie. For those of you not familiar with what a Hokie is, it's a Turkey. Now why oh Why would a school have a turkey as their mascot when they know they will be playing on Thanksgiving day?...Just sayin.

Yes when the turkey comes out or gets stuffed or any number of things that happen to the poor bird on turkey day my hubby has to hear about it. TEE HEE.

Wow I can't believe Halloween is just around the corner. Where did the month of October go? Well for me it went to re-editing my first two book to release this month and then it went to working on the First Book in the Wiccan Haus Series for Musa Publishing. Type A Meets the Redneck

Nopeming Shores was the first book I've ever co-authored. One of my author friends asked how I managed to do it with my Type A personality. I'll tell you.

Around the holidays last year, Andrew and I exchanged some emails about the story arc. Since I normally write erotic romances, scorching hot wouldn't fly because he's a primary grade school teacher. In fact, the book couldn't have graphic sex or language in it and still carry his name.

I wanted to overcome this obstacle and allow Andrew the opportunity to take credit for his work. I went back to thinking about the plot and retooling my writing style to suit his needs. I solicited a laundry list of g-rated swear words and phrases I could use instead of the F-bomb and other choice epithets military guys would use. I started imagining a love scene without sweat and hot dialog. My muse was scratching her head, wondering how this was all going to play out. I was, too.

In January, I'd sent a detailed outline of the book and it met his stamp of approval. I had a green light to begin writing. We spoke for the first time shortly after that. And in case you're wondering, he does sound like a redneck. *toothy grin*

I always figured he wrote poetry as himself, based on the emotion he was feeling at the moment. I wondered how he'd do "becoming Gabe." I didn't have to worry. I was amazed at his insights about Gabe's character, and pleased with his ideas about the emotions and behaviors of Lily and Shane Keefe, too. He totally "got" the romance – another surprise since he isn't a romance author. His ideas and insights made me swoon a few times. I tell ya, being married to a poet would be something. His wife is one lucky woman.

But I digress . . . .

Two books scooted in ahead of Nopeming Shores, and I didn't get to writing the story seriously until May. We had to finish by mid-August because of Andrew's work schedule. The exchanges went smoothly. I sent the book every time I needed a poem, Andrew would return it, and I'd write any transitions for the scene.

My muse had enjoyed drawing out all the evocative scenes, but every now and then, I was poised to write an honest to god swear word. I wanted to draw way more imagery into the love scenes. I resisted. My fingers stalled on the keyboard.

"Should I?"

My muse chanted, "Write it, write it, write it."

I caved.

Andrew cried, "Foul!"

Damn. Rewrite.

In the end, I met the challenge. When I finished the scene I'd feared writing for weeks, Andrew wrote back, "Bravissima. Don't change a thing."

Then the book went through editing, and I was asked to lengthen the love scene. I broke out in a sweat and tried not to think about how to make that work with the entire book finished. And I need Andrew's approval on a tight deadline (did I mention he's a busy guy?).

I originally thought I'd lengthen the scene by sharing Lily's point of view since that isn't given. When I got there, I realized this is all about Gabe and the only thing to do is make the scene more vibrant. I ended up closing my eyes to write it. The images were playing out in my mind, and the words on the screen were getting in the way. My muse didn't play hardball.

Andrew said, "It's perfect."

Andrew and I met recently. I was so nervous. Even though our conversations had been friendly and we respected each other as authors, this book will connect us for a long while. I hoped that meeting me would make him look forward to that business association. We are very different people. Once again, I didn't need to worry. We were like old friends. I hope we'll work together and see each other again.

October Last Year

Do you ever do that thing where you stop and wonder…what was I doing this time last year?

I probably do this quite often because I’m one of those people sort of addicted to remembering my milestones both good and bad.

Unfortunately, this time last year was a rough time for me. I’d just undergone my first mammogram and had received scary news that “they found something”. The same day I’d attended this traumatic event, they’d performed a needle biopsy and I went through all of this alone and feeling quite exposed.

In the end, the results were good and I hope they continue to stay that way from here on out, but it was a scary fall season for me which had nothing to do with Halloween, ghosts, goblins or demons.

But something kind of fun happened after this event, I came up with a new charity called “Books for Boobs” and this was an event that helped me raise several hundred dollars (matched by my husband’s employer) for Breast Cancer Research.

This year I’m going to do the same event and I’m going to host it through my Between the Scenes: Authors Helping Others charity blog located here:

Some of you may recall that I held a Tornado relief fundraiser here earlier this year that was a huge success and helped out a lot of folks down here in the storm ravaged southeast. I thank you for that.

But this charity is different. This time, I auction off, via E-bay tons of books that are put together in groups. Typically between 9 and 12 books per lot. Some are autographed collectibles, most all are brand new and never read, and a few are gently used. This allows me to clean out my enormous collection of books that are weighing down my office and to help raise money for a worthy cause—our boob health!

I’ll begin listing the books for sale on E-bay next Monday (October 17^th) and more details will be available on my charity blog at that time. I hope you’ll make a note to check out the lots and bid. And if you’re an author and would like to donate a book for the cause, please contact me for more details.

Can you believe summer is over and fall is almost here? I have no idea where the summer went but I for one am thankful for the cooler weather that has decended upon my area. Not to mention that Fall is my favorite time of the year. With the crisp cleaness to the air and the color of the trees I feel reguvenated.

Thinking of harvesting I have been hard at work harvesting my brain as of late and the newest venture for me is an Multi-Author driven series we are starting at Musa Publishing called The Wiccan Haus. The first novel in the series and my contribution is Shifting Hearts slated for a late October early November release.

The series revolves around the Rowan Siblings. 2 Sisters and 2 Brothers who run a healing spa for Paras (what those working at The Wiccan Haus refer to the Paranormals as) and Humans (who have no idea that Paras really exist)

Sarka Rowan is the Alchemist - Though her arts are more directed at the paranormal in need of potions for one reason or another, she has been known to assist the rare human. She absolutely won't create a love potion or bring someone back from the dead. Neither ever works out well. She is dark and her style is very Goth. Though not a vampire, she has been mistaken for one on more than one occasion. This pisses her off because she hates vampires with a passion, especially after having a bad relationship with one. Sexuality: unknown but believed to be bi-sexual

Cyrus Rowan is the Retrocog - when he touches an item, he is able to see the past of the current owner. Very handy when they find an item and do not know who it belongs to. He is uncomfortable with his gift and uses it very rarely. He wears gloves so as not overwhelmed with information from items he touches. He is broad in stature and acts more as the bouncer and peace keeper than an active member of the healing troupe. His wardrobe consists of black jeans, black combat boots, black T-shirts and black glasses. Sexuality: straight

Cemil Rowan is the Empath - Though he can sense a person’s feeling from a great distance, even through the phone while taking reservations, his true powers come when he can physically hold the hands of the person he is trying to heal. Cemil is more whimsical than the others. His style is bright and fun. But don’t let the whimsy fool you: this man can take down the largest of werewolves—um, wolves if the need arises. Sage Rowan is the Herbalist - her gift is the ability to know just what herbs she needs to add to the client’s shakes, foods, candles and soaps to help with their need to heal. She is sunny and always cheery. Her style is very bohemian-meets-flower child. Sexuality: straight

Though these characters wont have there own story at least anytime soon they will help to weave the stories that different authors write together.

For those who don't know me let me introduce myself. As you already gathered my name is Dominique Eastwick. I am a Wife, Mother of Two boys and a person who isn't living if she isn't creating something. Which means my life is crazy and I am a bit scatterbrained.

I am in the middle of working on the Third Book in the Sherman Family Series.

The First Book Hunting JC and the Second book Tony's Haven

The Sherman Family series stories take place in and around Boston, but move to some of my favorite places in New England. Real Places that while I lived there I loved and frequented. Though some of the names might be changed the places exist and to anyone who knows the area they will know the places. Want to take a Sherman Tour of Boston. Come back over the next few weeks and I will take you on a photographic journey with the Shermans,

But first who the Heck are the Shermans?

The Shermans are a well to do New England Family who prove that money can't buy you happiness but love can conquer all. They are steadfast in their love of each other and their pursuits of the ones they love. They are also Parrotheads through and through and only their love for the Red Sox might trump their love of Jimmy Buffett.

Meet The Shermans.

Jacinda Sherman: (Hunting JC) Feisty JC is the heroine of Hunting J.C. She has wanted Hunter for years and nothing is going to stop her now. She is the youngest of the Sherman clan.

Hunter Brooks: (Hunting JC) Hunter is the Hero of Hunting JC. Best friends with Tony Sherman. He came from nothing to get everything, now he just has to hold on to it.

Anthony Sherman: (Tony's Haven) Tony is older brother to J.C. and Hunters best friend. They met in college playing on the school Rugby team together and later became roommates. Too handsome for his own good, Tony has developed a reputation as a jokester and ladies man. Under Tony's carefree playboy appearance lies a complex and strong individual. It would take a strong heroine to plow beneath that armor.

Haven Pelletier (Tony's Haven) Haven is a strong Rubensesce woman who isn't bowled over by Tony's Handsome face and charms. She sees the man underneath flaws and all. (oh did I forget to mention she is a die hard Yankee's fan)

Spencer Sherman: (Spencer's Chance In process) Oldest of the Sherman siblings, Spencer is kind and strong. He believes in protecting his family at all cost but has yet to find the woman of his dreams. Spencer has taken the spot left vacant by is father in the family business.

Lucas Sherman: (Killing Lucas in process) Luc is the most bitter Sherman, his broken engagement has left him a pessimist and angry at the world. He is the second oldest Sherman and works in product developement for the family business.

Trenton Sherman: (Yet untitled Book) Is the youngest of the Sherman brothers. He is free loving and optimistic. He finds joy in everything he does. He is the most down to earth Sherman. Trenton owns his one search and rescue firm, he is an avide environmentalist.

Joseph Sherman: Patriarch of the Sherman Clan. Chose to be go into the medical field instead of taking the Seat on the Board meant for him at the Family Business.

Michelle Sherman: Matriarch of the Sherman Clan. A strong loving woman, who doesn't always see thru the facades her children put up for the world.

Kiloran O’Conner (Killing Lucas) Making her third appearance in the Sherman Family series as the heroine of Killing Lucas, the villain from the last two books who has made Lucas' life miserable, finally gets to tell her side of the story, check back to see if everything isn't always the way it seems.

Welcome to Dominiques Treasure Quest Blog Stop

Okay so I have to admit to being really really busy but I really really love doing this blog hop tour so when the decision was to make it about treasures my brain went to Pirates, then from Pirated to the Beach and then to may favorite beach which also happens to be refered to as the Graveyard of the Atlantic.

The Outer Banks of North Carolina

This is my Treasure place if X marks the spot then Obx is my spot, and Nags Head is the exact place. Why? Because for me it has it all, Great beaches with great surf, (not BIG SURF but fun surf), things to do and Wind. I love wind, I love flying kites and feeling the wind whip through my hair. There is a reason the Wright Brothers Choose Kitty Hawk and OBX to fly the wind never stops.

So every summer for a few days or if we are lucky a full week, my husband and I gather up our stuff sometimes our kids and meet awesome friends and have the best time of our lives.
