Pirate sites are NOT Lending Libraries

Let me say this LOUD AND CLEAR. Downloading ebooks from pirating sites is stealing. They are not a lending library, you get to keep the books forever if you choose. If you want to check out my books then ask your local library to get them for their ebook program, its available to them. Library's pay the authors for their books. They are legit, pirating sites are not. If you think I make a lot of ...money doing this I do not. Do I want people to read my books yes but pirating doesn't help my book it hurts it. Do not buy into the hype that this is okay, or LEGAL it is NOT. This is theft plain and simple. Pirate sites do not own my books, I do and I have NOT given them the right to use my books in any way... If you can't afford my book ask me if I have free copies to give you. DO NOT STEAL THEM.

Thank you to all those who have spent the 3.99 my most expensive book costs.

PARTAY

The mysterious Mermaid from the first book tells here tale (tee hee) and falls in love with hunky Coast Guard  rescue Swimmer Kaleb in the process. And yes for those of you who have been wondering you will get to catch up with All the Sibs, Myron, Dana, and of course Rekkus. (the islands big ole pussycat)

So in honor of the Release I will give away one copy of Siren's Serenade or Shifting Hearts to those who help spread the word on facebook about the release.

Loving her might just be the death of him.

Available Now At Musa Publishing

When Coast Guard rescue swimmer Kaleb Theldon sees what he's sure is a mermaid pulling his partner into the murky depths of the Bering Sea, they call it PTSD. In order to save his career, Kaleb agrees to a week at an island spa off the coast of Maine. But the spa is nothing like he expected, and he isn't prepared for the sexy siren that crosses his path. But will her passion be more than one mere human can take?

Serena has a problem, and after four previous visits to the Wiccan Haus, she'd expected things to get easier. But on the mermaid’s fifth visit, Kaleb walks in and everything in her life becomes complicated. Never has she wanted to mate with a human man before. But can she love a man who has a chip on his shoulder a league long when it comes to mermaids? Can she deal with her own issues all while keeping her true self secret from the man she loves?

And will loving him prove deadly?

This time, the staff have more than healing on their agenda. Can the siblings, Myron, and Rekkus prove to these two lovers that things aren't always how they appear on the surface? Or will Kaleb's demise be found in his Siren's Serenade?

Welcome back to the Wiccan Haus.

Excerpt
They had come to the cliffs looking over the ocean. The moonlight lit a runway across the rippling waters below. He couldn’t look at her, didn’t want to see her laugh—or worse, decide he was crazy. “I was rescuing a friend from the waters off the coast of Alaska. That area isn’t kind on the best of days, and this was a rocky sea kind of day. A fishing vessel made a distress call. The ship was taking on water and they had abandoned ship as it sank. We had a man in the water so numb he couldn’t get into the ring, and my buddy Jim jumped in to help. We brought up the man and I lowered the wire to bring Jim up. Just then a huge wave took the ‘copter within feet of the water. Jim reached out to grab my hand, when a woman swam up beside him…and then he was gone under the water, staring up at me for a second before I lost him completely.”

Serena laughed. “That’s ridiculous.”

Kaleb gritted his teeth so hard he was sure he’d crack a tooth.

“Mermaids don’t live in Alaska. It’s too cold.”

“Excuse me?”

“Why would any mermaid want to live in those waters? It’s cold enough here.”

Kaleb shook his head to clear it, turned to look at her because no one in all the time he was going through this had reacted like this. “Let me get this straight: you aren’t arguing with me that mermaids exist, just that they don’t live in the Bering Sea?”

“Well, I suppose they could live there, but I can’t imagine wanting to. I mean there…” She stopped, her mouth forming an “O.”

“You were saying?”

“Nothing. I just don’t think you’re any crazier than anyone else here on the island.”

Now it was his turn to laugh. “You’re not very reassuring.”

Guest Blogger Alexa Bourne

Jason Bourne helped make me the writer I am today. I know it’s probably an odd statement to make, but hear me out.

From my 1st and only Disney movie as a child, The Rescuers, to my favorite TV show as a middle schooler, The A-Team, I was always intrigued by the good guys winning and the villains getting what they deserved. I grew up on suspense, and, unlike many romance writers, I didn’t start reading romance until I was in college. The stories I read then were good, but I often felt like they were missing something.

Shortly after college, I decided to try writing my 1st romantic suspense, and I focused on writing the type of story I thought I had to write, one with a heavy dose of romance. Of course, at times I had a blast, but I also felt caged into a specific type of story. For a while, I wasn’t sure I’d be able to complete a romantic suspense because I spent so much more time on the suspense angle and that’s where I was comfortable. Truthfully, I struggled with whether I could make it as a romance writer or if I even wanted to anymore.

Then came The Bourne Identity. Now, I’ll be honest with you. The initial draw for me was Matt Damon, but then I really got into the story and analyzed all different aspects of it. The character of Jason was so fascinating and so complicated. I mean, he was technically a killer, a villain, and yet here I was rooting for him to come out on top. But as I sat on the edge of my seat, I also found myself hoping and wishing he’d find his happily-ever-after with Marie. As much as the suspense kept hold of me, the romantic in me still sprung forward. I soon began to realize it was possible and permissible to have a great suspense story with just a touch of romance. It was like, at that moment, I finally had the “go-ahead” to write stories with as much or as little romance as I wanted.

After that movie, I no longer worried about too much or too little romance in my romantic suspense stories. I just wrote the stories that had to be told and played with various amounts of romance and suspense. In my current release, HER HIGHLAND CHAMPION, the emphasis is more on the romance than the suspense, but that’s okay with me because that’s the way my characters, Malcolm and Heather, demanded it be written. In my next release, FRACTURED PARADISE, suspense plays a slightly larger role, and in yet another current submission, the romance takes a back seat to the suspense. Nowadays, I’m so much happier as a writer because I’ve learned through the years that ultimately, the most important thing is writing the story I need to tell exactly as it’s meant to be.
